Nothing better than eating oatmeal and talking about girls.

Nick,
Your dad’s not bad either
You are one cool little dude
Nicole
Dude, that kills me, because I’m excited that one day I’LL date girls. LOL.
Tatertot… lol
Very kewl that your able to have all these life/relationship conversations, especially since you share that with everyone beyond just the two of you.
It’s really important to have someone such as your parent (who is also like a friend) that you can talk to about random & important life stuff because life can be very confusing and stressful at many points in your life. It’s not so much fun trying to decipher the craziness on your own.
Sweet parenting right there.
I always think to myself: threat other human beings like you are threating yourself.
Scott needs to write a book. I will buy said book, read it. And then not be terrified about someday having kids.
Seconded
Really enjoyed this one, made me laugh a little bit lol.
You got a cool kid, Scott!
After listening to this, I burst into tears of laughter over the thought of Scott pulling out his iPhone and recording the awkwardness of the ’sex talk’ that he would have with his kids.
Great stuff; I think even Dr. Phil would be impressed =)
The world needs more parent/child moments like this.
I wonder if anyone could take me serious if I added a Parenting podcast to the FrogPants lineup.
No need to add another podcast to the lineup. Just make Nick a regular on the diary and I bet it would fly
Scott, with as much wonderful insight as you show into your family through the diary, I think this would be a great idea
/pre-subscribing!
What a great legacy to leave your children. I sooo wish I had moments like this recorded for posterity.
And Scott, after listening to all your other podcasts, I would most definitely listen to a parenting podcast by you. Or as Dave suggested, just continue this kinda thing in the Diaries.
Scott,
Way to totally put your kid on the spot!! I’m sure he went back to his room and put some more pins in his Scott Johnson voodoo doll as revenge for all the embarassment.
The question about, are you looking forward to dating girls someday was funny because I think only someone who has reached the point that they like girls would look back and wonder that. Seriously though. The whole thing was very touching and great.
P.S. Tell Nick not to TRY to get in the “friend zone!!” haha.
What if he grows up to not like girls and like guys instead?
Just saying, don’t stack your hopes too high, gay is ok too
