About this comic
I am giving myself a bit of a gift this year. For the entire month of December, I am putting myself through imagination detox. Each day that would normally be ExtraLife Comic day will be replaced with sketch work instead. No rules, no specific concepts…just what ever is boiling at the front of my mind at any given time.
I am using this as a chance to perform a bit of a reboot of my brain when it comes to the comic. Cleanse the pallet, to put it another way. I need this. My hope is that you will enjoy it as well. The first one.

And I always thought mushrooms were healthy.
?
Too much pasta?
Sounds like a good and sound idea.
Oh this is gonna be good
Great idea Scott! Love simple sketch work.
Was overeating during Thanksgiving a motivation for this one?
i love sketchwork as much as the next guy….but i feel that im getting coal from scott johnson, considering there wont even be a christmas comic….
Abstract stuff… Let me guess… Mario and All-You-Can-Eat Chinese Buffet? Do you have those is Utah?
“in” Utah (I wish the posts had an edit feature)… Please chk!
hahaha classic!
Mario loves All-You-Can-Eat Chinese Buffets?
My first thought when I saw this was Akira…
I snorted.
This is what happens when you sit inside all winter.
If you run out of ideas, that’s fine, there’s no law that you have to make a comic everyday. Just take a break instead of shoveling out crap like this.
reminds me of the classic nintendo commercial of the guy eating and he takes one last bite and blows up….
“… sketch work instead. No rules, no specific concepts…” this says to me I have too many things to juggle, i.e. 2 comics, 2 podcasts (possibly a third not updated frequently) and ontop of that a family to look after and spend time with, so i need to slack in an area espically during the holiday season. Kinda sucks but really we can only expect so much from one person, just my two cents.
Would be epic if you made an actual book (just all of them binded together, soft cover) and sold them at the end
@ Pinapple Farmer – the door is on the left and don’t let it hit you on the ass on the way out.
Scott – Comments off sounds like a fine idea
in fact, I think I’ll start that right now.
