In all truth and humility, I am genuinely looking forward to playing the new MGS. And my much ignored PS3 will thank me for it I suspect. And yes, I am even looking forward to the barrel thing, the barf mechanic, and the statue crotch grabbing. Good times.

In all seriousness (expanding on my earlier one-liner), games require a kind of class and professionalism. Yet, most people define class and professionalism as “not fun”. In all business, you have to have class and professionalism, but for games, you need “fun”, too.
The trick is to balance traditional business where it’s needed with “fun” where that’s needed. That’s a difficult trick (if history proves anything).
