All interpretation. Scott clearly had a very simple concept in mind – strictly what is drawn – and people are able to find more. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, but it does sort of inadvertently explain other similar situations (how people can make a connection between the Dark Side of the Moon and the Wizard of Oz, for instance). Very interesting.
