Today’s Comic: “Can’t Stick to the Plan”

About this comic

I thought I would have already purchased Wii Fit by now, but you know what? I found I am not really in that big of a hurry! Maybe I just have too many gadgets or games to get through still, but I figure it can wait.

I do have a friend who has tried every diet under the sun, and never really sticks with any of them long enough to see any results. Hence today’s comic.

    Hehehe
I laughed simply because I wondered what a truly fat person would look like in your world where fat is the norm. Now I know. LOL!

  2. Jeff says:

I want Wii Fit, but the $90 price tag is keeping me at bay. That and the fact that my wife says “We don’t need one more piece of junk cluttering up the place” in regards to the balance board.

  3. Derek says:

I didn’t think that it was out yet. We have them at my store and the shipment came with instructions not to sell or display on the 21st.
Maybe thats just here in Canada.

  4. Jason says:

Yea. You can’t buy it, cuz it’s not out yet.

  5. Luis says:

This is all i have to say…

    Wii Fit… is it!

  6. marak says:

Not out there? my gf’s had one for 3 weeks lol.

  7. Raybiker says:

Wow. Put a goatee on this comic and I could use it as my driver’s license photo.

The Wii Fit looks like fun, I’m anxious to see what other kinds of games are developed using the balance board.

I haven’t understood the tactics of WII’s special sports games yet. I think that the Wii Fit is another boring game. In fact, I don’t like any of the Wii Games. I prefer to do some sport in RL and play other less realistic things on my PS3. To make thinks worse, I don’t like the graphic of the WII at all. Especially Wii Fit looks extremely boring and remembers me of some old Golf Games that I played ages ago.

  9. Io says:

I think your mistake, faragerri, regarding the Wii Fit is looking at it as a game. Sure the balance board will come out with true game games (like the skiing thing), but Wii Fit is definitely not a game. Anyone who purchases it looking for Mario World type of play is going to be sorely disappointed.

I see it as no different than some exercise video package that someone buys for their use at home. Probably 50-75% of the people that buy Wii Fit will end up getting as much use out of it as they would an exercise video. Maybe a greater number will use it due to it being more interactive. Maybe, some people will actually be turned on to an exercise regimen as a result of it.

  10. Eric says:

After cleaning our own house and helping a friend clean theirs this weekend and waking up this morning unable to move, I’ve decided I don’t need to wait on exercise any longer.

The Wii fit seems like an okay springboard, but we don’t have the Wii and we do got weights gathering dust. I’ll just put up periodic nags all over the place to make me do it instead of playing WoW or AoC every day.

(I have found that computer programs are particularly good at nagging: even more annoying at it than a wife or mother… though for many people, less successful… but not me… I try to set things up so the nags can’t be easily dismissed or ignored… unlike a wife or mother.) 8O

  11. You couldn’t fit “wii fit is it” anywhere in there???? hehe

  12. Cephas says:

I wonder… which one is the guest star? I have a feeling it’s the one who’s not extremely fat, but I could be wrong.

  13. Protom-lad says:

    This comic is meh.

  14. Scott says:

Protom-lad: Wow. Seriously, if you would not mind, I would love MORE of this amazing in depth commentary of yours, if you can muster it up in future.

  15. Protom-lad says:

How dare you mock MY GLORIOUS CRITICISM! You fools will never understand my greatness!

But seriously, I just feel this comic doesn’t have much in the way of funny. The writing seems forced and obvious and the punchline has little to no punch! Sorry!

  16. Scott says:

MUCH better. I can live with actual criticism. My answer? Can’t win em all for everyone. Hope you like the next one.

  17. Icesnake says:

Hey, this is not the best ELR comic ever, but it beats the heck out of my weekend.

I’d love to see Scott take over the Flintlocke series where the authors left off with it.

  18. Lazarus says:

He’s got very skinny calves for a fat guy.
