The Emperor didn’t need to taze him, he could have just called in Storm Troopers and had him removed, but instead he went straight for the Tazer. This is a gross misapplication of the Dark Side and I hope that the Emperor is removed from power because of this.
Luke was resisting going to the Dark Side, yes, but there was no reason for him to go to the Dark Side in the first place! This is like some entrapment or something.
