I for one was pretty impressed with the demo that Epic put up, and I’ve come to the conclusion that they are going to do some pretty impressive stuff with that thing. A full game has yet to be seen, but if people are looking for the right engine, I think they found it.
Today’s comic is more about remembering my days with UT in circa 1999 or so than anything else. Enjoy!

Ahh, the good old days. The classic 99 Unreal Tournament is still one my favorite games all of time. Dual enforces FTW
Am I the only one that liked Unreal Tournament 3?
Well, I like UT3, but I still prefer UT classic. And I’m still mad at Epic for not keeping their promise of releasing UT3 for mac and linux. The last comment about the ports was in May 2009.
The story in UT3 was lame. I missed the tourney. Maybe Epic will release it proper on the iPad/Phone. Instagib with your finger?
Facing Worlds was my favorite map. A great CTF map and a great map for sniping. Awesome music on that level too.

Loved UT ’99, but rather best enjoyed UT2004 the most with my buddies. We had a blast playing all the different game modes in that over several years. Sadly, though, by the time UT3 came out most people didn’t seem to care anymore. Gears of War had made its mark by then along with Halo and others.
