Lol, this comic is great. It’s my feeling on the movie exactly. Everyone is talking about how awesome the CGI and visuals are gonna be but the trailer didn’t show a lot in the way of plot. I’m hoping it’s good and that it’s got more going for it than just eye-candy.

What trailer? I haven’t heard of a trailer release/leak… anyone have a link?

  3. RavingDork

Realistic? Bah. It looks SO fake! The first Jurassic Park movie–now that looked real!

Amen. I don’t know what it is about that movie, but those dinos really look real. I guess it’s the combined factors of none of us having seen dinosaurs, and that they were relatively limited in their use of CGI that they weren’t trying to show off, if you know what i mean.

Yoda, real. The Blog, real. Quagmire, real. This guy, notsomuch.

I have no idea what this comic is about. I tried to find clues on the twitter thing as I never read that and apparently Scott uses it a lot, but no, nothing.

Oh, avatar. I thought it was a night elf or something. Bah, was hoping for a WoW movie :p

This reminds me of the time I was transformed into a great barn owl. Maybe I’ve told this story before…

I thought it was a Night Elf as well and a comment about the WoW movie!

I came to the comments in the hopes someone would say what movie this was.

I was excited for the movie, until I have seen the latest trailer. The “blue guys” look like 3D models of Disney animated characters, the whole thing looks like (yet again) the producers concentrated on the looks way too much.

Ummm… What movie are we talking about?

  12. Dazzer

Watched a sneak preview where they showed bits and pieces of the first half.
Absolutely nothing to see in terms of plot that is groundbreaking.

“Crippled Guy” joins “Military Force” trying to infiltrate “Blue Dudes” by merging consciousness of said “Crippled Guy” with clone of “Blue Dudes”. “Fake Blue Dude” meets “Real Blue Dudette” and falls in love, becomes a “Blue Warrior” by passing “Blue Initiation Rites” by capturing “Flying Thing” (probably the strongest “Flying Thing” that noone has come close to capturing) and ends up joining “Blue Dudes”. All this leads to “Big Climactic Invasion Battle” where “Military Force” with “Huge Machines” and “Flying Machines” take on “Blue Dudes” with “Flying Things”.

Sorry, but aside from the GRAAAAAAAAAAAAPHICS, there’s absolutely nothing else to get me excited.

Watch it in 3D if you can. Probably all that its worth.

So it’s Dances with Wolves for Emo kids?

I’m not really excited about the movie, but I think the comics is great!

So everyone just rips on this cos they don’t show the plot, well I for one hate the fact that every stupid preview shows me the entire plot of a movie before I watch it now. Where is the surprise in that, even if there is some plot twist you probably figured it out6 months b3fore the movie even showed. I don’t call that entertainment I call it spoilers.

Like what Dazzer just did by letting out information that would be best learned while watching the movie, therefore maximizing your 90-120 minutes

best CGI ever? apparantly the people making this havent heard of a small upstart company called Square Enix and their low budget movie Advent Children
