Wabbit is correct…it is important to note that the headcrab was almost certainly inspired by the alien face hugger to begin with.

Okay. Who here wants to see what an alien that comes from a chicken looks like? (We know that the aliens take on features from their host. ref: Aliens, Alien³, Alien vs. Predator and Alien vs. Predator 2 [though I never knew that Predators mated with their tongues???]. They intended the original design to be that way all along, and if one looks close enough, there is the top of a human skull barely visible inside the front of the original alien’s head under the “cowl” [which was abandoned for a more insect-like appearance in Aliens].)

Technically, aliens mimic only physical attributes of their hosts, but what if they went further? (Then again, it’s not like Mimes are actually Human after all. Right?)
