Yes… but that involves Apple admitting a problem and fixing it. So far they would rather lie, blame AT&T, and iPhone users. They need to man up and admit the problem and fix it instead of continually slinging BS. Although it is funny to see them constantly being caught in their lies.

I think it’s pretty simple. There are two antennae and they are separated in the metal frame by a small gap which gets electrically bridged by your sweaty palm. This attenuates the signal. The two parts of the frame need to be kept isolated from each other.

Electrically insulate the metal frame from your hand and the problem is solved.

It’s not always about physical location. The way that the OS and firmware USE that physical location is what matters.

Either way, the patch will tell. If people have no hit on data or cell speeds after the patch, easily testable with 3rd party speedtest apps, then we’ll know.
