About this comic

I love the quiet relationship between Bran and Hodor on GoT. Especially in the books, where it’s fleshed out so much more than the show. It’s really one of the only instances of pure dedication and devotion found in the entire series, and it shines pretty bright as a result.

Anyway, hope you enjoy it. Not much of a “comic”, you know, with jokes and stuff. But sometimes I just like drawing stuff I’m into. OH! And there’s a print available of this as well! GO HERE!

  1. So who are your favorite GOT characters?

    • This is great. I would love to see your take on Tyrion Lannister.

Odd. We started this jurenoy within the same timeline, you are looking for expats who aren’t dickheads, I follow and comment regularly on your blog, have suggested we get together, and have a totally open blog myself. So, do you want to meet cool people or not?

I’ve always liked The Hound. He’s a Dog in the shadow of The Mountain, forced to live in darkness due to a fear of fire. Upon first glance he seems to be your typical blood thirsty killer but Sandor manages to subtly add depth to his character, not by words (which he has few) but by the choices he makes. He cares little for human life yet he holds a soft spot for Sansa. He loathes the chivalrous fluff of knighthood yet he instinctively defends Loras at tournament. He’s a drunk and lacks any form of courtly manner yet he despises Bronn for being the same. It’s as if he is a square peg in a world of intricate circles and a man who kills men to compensate for the tormenting demons he cannot.

On a side note… Jamie Lanister said that there are 3 men in the realm that could possibly defeat him in combat. I wonder if The Hound is one of them?

Arya, brienne, jon. Maybe cliche choices but they’re the ones I attached to. If grr kills arya i’ll be extremely upset :) awesome drawing!

  4. DragonFL says:

Only thing I’d say, is that kid is way to happy to be Bran… he’s a snotty little turd.

  5. Lavaskajunkie says:

Has to be Tyrion ‘The Imp’ Lannister! I have not read the books but i can see him sitting on the Iron Throne by the end of it!

  6. Be content with your lot; one cannot be first in everything.
    Aesop

  7. shieryma says:

Syrio Forel is win. Bring him back GRRM!

  8. Jon Jagger says:

Well after the last episode clearly Pod is the winner.

…ok let’s just add him to the list with Tyrion, Arya, and Brienne.

    • Antonette says:

Jeff & Shadow – read the books again, and you’ll see that the Hound still lives. It’s not that obvious, thuogh, and I’m pretty sure I missed it first time around. How many of you guys have read the Hedge Knight? Do so if you haven’t, preferably the short story and not the adaptation.

  9. SalesGeek says:

    Batman.

  10. lostzion says:

Bronn, so much character there, and you just get to skim it through wonderful interactions. Hes the non noble everyone would want to be.

  11. robert says:

    Jon Snow. nd Tirion Lanister

  12. Rezlow says:

Hmmm, I never looked at it like that, I just saw Hodor as doing what he was told to do. If you told him to trundle off and scratch his bum, he’d probably say Hodor and do that too. I might protect Bran, but I never saw it as a “relationship” I guess. Then again I’m always not a pet person. I’d have to say Jaime, but only because I was determined to hate the character and eventually GRRM wore me down… just a little.

  13. Patrick says:

“Jamie Lanister said that there are 3 men in the realm that could possibly defeat him in combat. I wonder if The Hound is one of them?”

My guess would be Ser Barrister the Bold (no doubt here). The two others are not so obvious.
Sandor Clegane may be one of them (not his brother, Sandor is the better fighter even if his brother is stronger).
And if he’s talking about living men, they I don’t have a clue about who the third one could be. Possibly Gerold Dayne.

    • Imzee says:

“My guess would be Ser Barrister the Bold (no doubt here).”

I totally agree…even for an old man, he’d give Jamie a solid duel.

Side topic: Thunderdome! Jamie, Stannis, Ned, Drogo, Brienne, Barristan, Bronn, The Hound, Loras and the Lord of Bones… who would leave?

  14. Patrick says:

Oh, and my favorite characters are definitely Tyrion and Arya, both equal at the first place in the series and in the books. Jon Snow is the close second.
Among the secondary characters, I like the “Onion Knight” and “The Hound” a lot.

  15. Patrick says:

And sorry for the spam, but it’s Ser Barristan Selmy of course and not “Barrister”. (sorry for the typo, but you can’t edit entries here).

  16. orgarbeluccal says:

(CNN) — A massive blast at a fertilizer plant Wednesday night killed an estimated five to 15 people, wounded more than 160, and damaged 50 to 60 homes in a 5-block area, officials in West, Texas said Thursday.

The casualty count could spike to 60 or 70, said Dr. George Smith, the city’s emergency management system director.

“We have two EMS personnel that are dead for sure, and there may be three firefighters that are dead,” Smith said.

“There are a lot of people that will not be here tomorrow,” Mayor Tommy Muska warned late Wednesday.

  17. orgarbeluccal says:

The Boston area remained on lockdown into the afternoon Friday as authorities conducted a manhunt for one of two brothers of Chechen background suspected in Monday’s Boston Marathon bombings and a deadly showdown that began unfolding Thursday night.

Authorities identified one suspect as 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who was killed in a confrontation with police in Watertown, Mass., according to a U.S. law-enforcement official.

A manhunt was on for the second suspect, identified as Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19 years old. Both brothers were believed to be involved in the fatal shooting of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus police officer during Thursday night’s chaotic series of events.

  18. With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into
any problems of plagorism or copyright violation? My website has a lot
of unique content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my permission. Do you know any methods to help protect against content from being stolen? I’d definitely
    appreciate it.
