About this comic

Pretty excited to see how BL2 plays. Guess we’ll find out tomorrow. But the use of the word ‘Bazillion’ on the box and sites and stuff is a little silly. Yes, MANY MANY guns are created in realtime on random rolls, but to use a fake name / number like bazillion is just goofy.

Let the games begin! I mean, let the phat lewt drop!!!!

But what about the Guild Wars and the Pandas? Too many games!

  2. A friend once said that “bazillion” is a context-sensitive number. If you’re counting money, it might be billions. If you’re counting jellybeans it might be 10,000. If you’re counting gunshot wounds it might only be eight.

What’s that famous feminist quote again?

    “A woman needs a man like a fish needs a DualShock® Controller”?

    Something like that :)

  4. Jack says:

Bought the game. Played the game. LOVE the game. Want to play more but can’t cause I’m stuck at work…

I didn’t think it was possible to improve on the First Borderlands. I mean come on!!!! I have a Rocket Launcher Machine Gun!!!

  5. Jack says:

Rocket Launcher Machine gun…. All I’m gunna say.

  6. Darrell says:

How are these fish gonna operate the controls?

  7. fritz365 says:

That last panel speaks volumes. Just the cross looking fish glaring at one another. :)

  8. Sixcolors says:

Guns that become grenades when you reload them. That is all.

Says the guy drawing a comic where fish discuss games.

  10. lurker says:

Yeah they used Bazillion for Boarderlands 1 description. Not buying this one till the price drops. 60 bucks for a semi flop last year = fail.

    • Jack says:

Borderlands 1 came out 3 years ago. and it was a very successful game.

      • lurker says:

Ahh yes you are correct Jack (about the 3 years ago part), and I bought it on Day 1 when it came out. Why do you call it a successful game though? Marketed well – yes, good game no. I’d rate it a 7.5 – 8. A bit empty, and only 1 vehicle. Give me “Fallout” over “Boarderland”s anyday of the week.

    • Jack says:

It was Successful to me, i played it for 150+ hours, and it did well enough to warrant a Sequal. It was what I wanted Fallout to be. I disliked that in fallout, even if I’m aiming RIGHT at their head, i still miss cause of a dice roll. Plus Fallout had so many glitches. You spend too much time repairing guns and hoping you have enough ammo for me to have fun in Fallout for very long =( but that’s a persona preference. Both games were very successful. But for different reasons.

Fallout: RPG with some First/Third person shooter Mechanics
Borderlands: FPS with some RPG mechanics. And lots of shiny loot.

      • lurker says:

you mean you didn’t hit something everytime you shot? lol Hate to correct you but most FPS games have a crosshair spread so your not supposed to hit everytime, and if you expect it, you can improve your “small guns” skill. Your free to have your opinion, I just found way more content in Fallout 3. If you want “SHINEYZ LOOTZ” then yes go for Borderlands 2. You must have played multiplayer a lot, because the single player experience sucked IMO. I just fail to see the difference between BL 1 and BL 2. And the $60 price tag for PC? plz… I’ll wait till it is $30 bucks on Steam after 6 months. Plenty of good games out there to play now (FTL, Torchlight II to name a couple) Sides, ill wait till the expansion packs are bundled so I get the FULL game rather than give you a half baked product and then string you along with 3 addons later of “content”. Bait and switch only works so much.

  11. Should’ve used “A Mega-zillion guns.”

    • Jack says:

How about “More guns than you can ever possibly count, but that’s ok because you won’t use most of them. also there are Grenades and Shields too!”

      Perhaps it’s a bit verbose.
