Hey hey, looks like Scott forgot to put my T-Pain link in the show notes. Here goes http://www.revfry.com/2009/09/06/greasemonkey-i-am-tpain-download-script/

Great podcast. Always enjoy you guys every week. Not sure if I’m the only one, but your artwork did not show when I downloaded your podcast to my iPhone.

On the Nissan Leaf — I completely agree that the name is horrible for a car. I do like the idea of being able to start my car with my iPhone, but I’d be ultra protective of my phone. I think that’s the way car makers are headed though.

Thought you should know, it’s fairly easy to convert the mp3 ringtones to iPhone ringtones in iTunes under windows.
    1. Add the file to your collection (file – Add file to library)
    2. Locate the file in your music collection – that’s where it ends up and right click it and ‘Create AAC Version’
    3. This is the tricky bit, you have to go into windows explorer and find the file, it will be added to your music collection in ‘music/my music/iTunes/iTunes Music’ then in a folder that is dependant on who created the file in the first place – for example it could be Scott Johnson or Skyhawk for example…..
Anyhow when you find the file it will have an extension of .m4a – copy the file and change the extension to .m4r
    4. Now go back to step 1 and add the file to your collection you just altered (file – Add file to library)
    5. add the new ringtone to your collection in iTunes ans sync the phone.
    6. Enjoy the new ring tone.

This works and I have about 20+ ringtones on the phone, brilliant.

Oh yea, almost forgot – Keep up the great work – you guys rock!

Just a note – there is an application for the mac that will show you how much you have spent at the app store and give you a list of everything you’ve purchased.

    http://www.geek-2-live.com/2009/10/i-spent-how-much-at-app-store.html

I’ll say this much, all those little 99 cent apps add up over time.

Converting a Audiobook to a “Podcast” so you can play at double speed is easy.

In iTunes, go to your Audiobook, right click on it and choose Get Info.

Click on the OPTIONS tab, then in MEDIA KIND, change it to Podcast. Done.

Works for any other Media Type too (Music Video > Movie, TV Show > Movie, Music > Audiobook etc) So Scott can do the same with his extra long comedy routines so they Remember Playback Position when he listens to them.

OR you can select Remember Playback Position checkbox from the same OPTION Tab and have it do the same thing.

    Love the show. Yadda Yadda.

    Michael
