Radio Shack To Sell iPhone

When Radio Shack announced Monday that it will begin selling Apple’s iPhone in its stores, the nation’s second largest electronics quickly realized just how significant it is to be selected to sell the iconic mobile phone: its stock rocketed.

The retailer said it will begin selling the iPhone this month in the New York City and Dallas/Fort Worth areas. Sales of the iPhone are scheduled to begin nationwide in Radio Shack’s stores next year.

Interesting. I kinda had it in my head that they had some sort of deal with Verizon. More reason to expect a Verizon iPhone? Maybe! The full story here.

Adobe Flash apps come to iPhone–sort of

Adobe’s back-door approach still is a significant move for the company, though, which wants to ensure that Flash is a major foundation for Internet-based applications. Programmers familiar with Flash could find the Adobe method an easier way to bring their applications to the iPhone world if they’re not experts in coding for the phone and its close cousin, the iPod Touch.

Some may have missed this but the game went free yesterday for talk like a pirate day, and is STILL showing up as free today. Not really my kind of game, but I am certain there are plenty out there that would really enjoy it. Go get it while it’s still free!
