One of the things that happens when you announce you are going to adapt a book into a TV series or movie is that a general sense of fear rises up in the fan base of that particular book. In the case of George R. R. Martin’s ‘A Song of Fire and Ice’ series, when news reached us that HBO would be creating the TV series, there was both quiet hope and more fear. It’s so easy to ruin things like this.
In this case, I think we have nothing to fear.
I found this really quite funny, and wondered if anyone had fallen prey to it yet.
Very excited about what my buddy Brian Ibbott has planned here. A taste!
It goes from 12 noon Friday, November 26th to 12 noon Saturday, November 27th (all times Mountain time). Obviously, Ihe’ll be playing cover songs the whole time, but I’ll also be doing giveaways for copies of Jonathan Hodgeman’s “Areas Of My Exptertise” books, Beatles “Ticket To Ride” books, and other music-related goodies.
And just check out that guest list! Should be a ball! Hope to see you guys there! Get all the deets right here.
