Thanks go out to O for being able to speak intelligently about this movie and all its lore. Time and time again i keep getting frustrated with people forgetting that they’re LIVING robots. They showed it in the movie when Bumblebee ripped Ravage’s spine out, and their was organic material on it. I’m really glad Scott and Brian were able to enjoy it as well. But as far as the twins go, all the talk about stereotyping and such, people seem to forget, there are thousands of people in the US that really do talk that way. I see it as giving personality to the Transformers, something the cartoon kinda lacked if you go back and watch them today.
Obsidian defended and explained the movie perfectly. Personally, I found Tran. 2 better balanced then the first.

I agree…I was trying not to come off too negative on the show about the movie…but I did anyway.
I guess I wanted it to be great so bad that when it wasn’t I felt I had to find the reason. I blamed some things that probably weren’t the reasons. But I know the truth is out there…
What surprised me the most is that there wasn’t even ONE mention of humping dogs.
The humor did suck big time. But I blank that out in my mind, so the rest it quite enjoyable.
Yeah I forgot about the humping trans dog. There is your reason right there.
I LOVED the movie, the comedy might have been a lite to much at times though but who cares ;P
On another note: I can report that here in Sweden, circumcision is extremely rare and almost never done just like in columbia, you yanks are wierd removing parts of your wieners
I only saw The Island one time… maybe it was pretty good, but I was too distracted by the fact that they wholesale ripped off the plot from a 1979 movie called “Parts: The Clonus Horror”

TOTALLY worth watching if you liked The Island! The best version (well, the only one I’ve seen) is the MST3K version! But MST3K is always better when the movie is at least interesting.

I enjoyed it as well, nice movie. Don´t expect to watch an Oscar movie, it is for entertainment and childhood transformer fans!

To O, talking about the girl transformer, She was a pretender. The transformers can’t just take the form of a human because they are HUGE. Oh, and I actually like the Robo-beards.
Oh no… just overheard: “I just saw Transformers!” “Oh yeah, that’s such a great movie, especially the twin robots!” “Oh, totally!” /sigh.
Just saw Transformers – it was good in spite of the bathroom humor – and Jetfire was not a modern fighther – he was an SR-71 Blackbird. That is an old long range spy craft by todays standards – been around since the 60’s I believe

I agree with the ELR panel about this movie, though I must admit that I didn’t notice as many ball jokes as Scott did.
But that’s probably due to my being dead tired and not really having slept for two days before watching it. Trust me, this movie is awesome if most of your higher brain functions just want a little, 2.5 hour break
As said in the show, I also really liked the small nods and references to other Transformers material, as well as O’s very accurate description of Optimus + Old Man Parts looking like Optimal Optimus from Beast Wars, I think that’s EXACTLY what they were going for.
All in all I thouroughly enjoyed it even though I do think there was a lot of room for improvement. Getting Frank Welker back was a HUGE step in the right direction, he was the main thing I missed in the first one, having voiced so many characters alongside Megatron, Galvatron and Starscream.
Good show guys. I enjoyed the most recent “Transformers” movie more than the first one. I just don’t think these movies ever will be that serious. You go for the fun, action, spectacle.
